I am currently a Knight-Hennessy Scholar at Stanford University, where I am pursuing my PhD in the food + environmental history of the British Empire. My work has been recognized by the Association for the Study of Food and Society, the James Beard Foundation, the American Society for Environmental History, and the World History Association. I hold an MPhil from University of Cambridge in Modern South Asian Studies, and an AB from Harvard University in History & Literature.

Beyond my historical work, I am an award-winning food writer,
cheese researcher, and vegetarian cookbook collector.
